Communication is the lifeline of every relationship. Without it, misunderstandings grow and intimacy fades. To improve communication, start with active listening. Don’t just hear your partner—make them feel understood by acknowledging their feelings. Avoid interrupting and instead ask clarifying questions. Use “I” statements instead of blaming language, e.g., “I feel upset when…” instead of “You always…”. Also, non-verbal communication—like tone, eye contact, and body language—carries more weight than words. Creating a safe space where both partners feel heard is the ultimate goal. The stronger your communication, the stronger your relationship.
